SO..... Lei is going Japan soon, and wanted to get 1 'DIGTAL' camera to frame down everything he sees there, ofcoz is to Lan C us that never been to Japan, AhTak for example. And then Lei came to me and ask me which is a good brand and model to get. Then I start telling him 'What Is Photography', but he don't seems to understand and for sure not interested in the shit I loved. Well then, got to shorten the story up so he can go to Japan with a 'Digital Camera'.

The one is on top is a a Pro and the one at the bottom is not Pro. That's what every salesman tell you. Yah, AhTak tell you that too.
But what make the different is the usage of the camera. Where would you be using the camera and how would you use the camera. You have more control over the camera on the Pro Semi-Pro camera, so you tell the camera HOW you want the picture to look like. And the Consumer on Entry level, less contorl but easier to carry around with you.
Just taking snap shoot ? The second one is your choice.
Want to do more than snap shoot ? The First one is your choice.

And by the way, we call the one on Top DSLR, Digital Single-Lens Reflection.
The one at the bottom is PnP, Plug and play, your head ! It's Point And Shoot.

As I always says, good pictures comes from good photographer, not the camera. a good camera has the job to 'HELP' the photographer to take good pictures easier. That's it.

But Ah Lei know what he want. Small in size, value on money, and full in features. Yeah, better than some...

Customer : I want to buy a camera.
SalesPerson: Any models you are interested ?
Customer : I don't know la, you recomend lah.
SalesPerson: ( start to read all the specs to the customer, every brand and model )
Customer : Aiyo, so many how to choose ??
SalesPerson: This one loh, Hi MegaPixel.
Customer : Size too big lah...
SalesPerson: This one loh, smaller size.
Customer : Aiya, no Optical zoo aH?
SalesPerson: This one loh, 4 optical zoom.
Customer : Aiya, Sony ah, memory stick expensive lah.
SalesPerson: This one lo, Nikon, 7MP, 12X Optical zoom, CF card.
Customer : Wah, so expensive.....
SalesPerson: ( keep talking for the next 1 hour)
Customer : ( keep on Aiyo and Aiya for 1 hour)

After 1 hour......
Customer : I think first ah... come back to you

Which normaly according to my experince, trust me, they won't come back.


The final models me and Lei was looking at.
Sony.. Yeah, I like Sony for consumer class camera.
Good Shit: Can add hell alot of add-ons, like lens, got wide and tele, can add flash somemore. Lovely features like manual mode. To control Shutter Speed and Apeature (don't ask me what are they).

Or this, Sony too ! Yeah, Sony have great color output. And cool on OutLook, what do you think?
Smaller in size, fewer features, less expensive.

HHmm..... just get one that have what you want.

For SnapShoot:
Senario 1. No budget, get bigger one with more features or get a small one with less features.
Senario 2. Lots of budget, get small one with hell alot of features, the end.

Better SnapShoot:
Get either Nikon D70s or Canon 350D.

Making money:
get the ultimate Nikon D2X or Canon EOS Mark II.
