What should you do when you lost your wallet?

First thing is ofcoz to swear 99 the bugger who picked/stole/found and keep you wallet, that is to make yourself feels better.

Then proceed to the following if you are done swearing the bugger.

1. Police Station@9AM. Proceed to the nearest Police Station. I'm not sure if you make a report to the nearest Police station of where you lost your wallet or where you live. For me, I suspect I lost my wallet somewhere near my house, so that doesn't make any differnt. I go to the one in Uptown.



I must give an 'A' to the Policeman who entrtain me. Great Service and speedy process. All done within 15mins including of showing me the way to 'Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara' @ Kota Damansara. Also not forgeting:

Police: Cik, kena bayar RM2 untuk report.
AHTak: Tuan, dompet hilan lah, tak ada duit, macam ?
Police: Tak ape lah, you boleh balik...

But I am not that bad/stingy lah, return the RM2 after visiting the bank, which is also step No2.

2.Bank@9:40AM. Proceed to your bank, with the most money in your account or preferrable with the fastest Service. With Alliance Bank I am totally disgusted. Unhelpfull staffs with no smile on their faces. As if I am begging money from them, WTF ? First of all, I give the lady ( an Indian lady, still dreaming ) at the counter my bankbook and tell her that I need some cash and get a new ATM card. And the lady do her job very unwillingly...



Lady: Cik, IC ade ?
AhTak: Sorry I dun have, I lost my wallet, Police Report can ?
Lady: Ehh ..... you give me ...

Then she walk to her superior (on her mid 30s, not married I think) and talk talk talk for about 5 mins.

Superior: Cik, have you terminate your ATM card ?
AhTak: I have to ? I dunno that, can I do it here ?
Superior: No, you must go to the branch that hold your account?
AhTak: You mean I have to go all the way to Imbi?
Superior: Yes, and please call the branch, ask the number from Customer Service.

MCH ! Isn't that Banks will have the most Advanced and Secure Online Computer System ? I am so surprised that they can't let me get a New ATM card from branches, and it took me another 25 mins for those idiots to fax documents from Imbi to Uptown then only I can get a RM200 cash, WTF ? 5mins to apply a new account and 25mins to take out money? I should have just terminate my account and apply a new account and get cash, should be faster I think.

Alliance Bank, I give you 'D' for your services.


Uptown. Wasted 30mins just to look for a parking space.

3. Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara@12PMAM. Any branches will do if you lost your wallet less than 5 times, and the 5th you must go to Head Quater. Thanks to the Policeman earlier and I manage to find my way to Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara, Kota Damansara Branch, instead of go somewhere Klang so far or PJ Newtown so long queue. But I lost my way when I reached McD/PizzaHut in Kota Damansara, and I even went up the Toll to Ipoh... AAaaaAhh !!!! Spent almost 40 mins round and round and round and round around, I give up, I stopped at The Police Station and asked for the way. The Policewoman on duty was chatting with another lady, but still WANT to help me with the direction, she even gave me an easier and faster way compare to the Policeman ealier. Another 'A' for the Police Force.



Here also very fast. In total less than 15mins I think, coz not much people there and the staff there are fast, and with smile on their face, not like some Bank ...


4. After IC, the driving licence ofcoz. JPJ@1:42PM, that's where we go. I went to the one in PJ NewTown, another messy place with heavy Traffic and no parking. Spent me 1 hour plus to reached the place coz I lost again, thanks to the Helpfull Roadsigns.



After 1 hour plus on the road, lost, I manage to reached the counter...

Uncle: Hello, nake buat ke nak renew?
AhTak: Nak buat baru, hilang dah.
Uncle: Gambar ade ?
AhTak:Takde lah....
Uncle: Kena ade Gambar sekeping tau, you ambli gambar dulu, nanti balik sini.

Damm ... Went to PJ Newtown to take Passport size Picture...MCH and 30mins gone looking for a stupid parking.

Take picture and process total used: 11 mins. But Look for parking 30mins...damm.... Now I know why KL poeple so stress.

And the Driving Lincense. I waited about 10mins for my turn and another 10mins for the process, and I got myself a new Driving License. THAT's FAST !!!! Alot more faster than I expected, and that's why I have my PSP with me. An 'A' for JPJ ! Speedy Service !Good !

5. Back to the Bank, Alliance Bank@4:13PM. The one with a 'D' for it's service.



I thought I will get better service here, the Imbi Branch, but no. Same kind of attitude, also no smile on the face, everyone like dun want to work and go home, chit chat personal things and let the customer wait there like sohai. I give you a 'D' even I have a new ATM and renew my signature. So, Alliance Bank have 2 'D's .....





Ok, let's see the Standard WorkFlow-of-Lost-Wallet.

But I took:

There's 1 extra Bank at the back bcoz of their bad services and I need to go all the way down to KL from PJ, get Jammed in the traffic during peak hour, waste time and petrol.... MCH

After wandering in 1U for more than 2 hours. Looking for small size and small price tag. Not so expensive, just RM149 from JUSCO.

Well, things didn't happened as how planned, no shooting, no shopping, no YamCha, no nothing, not even internet till this morning... Why ?

Working on some "Cleaning & Repairing" Job today....

Someone come to me and said :" My 'A' key is not working can you help me with that ?"
So ofcoz I go to have a look and try to figure out what's going on ler, and the 'A' key is really not working, but not just the 'A' even 'Q', 'W', 'S', 'X' and other key around that area also not working. I thought "Cannot be .... Must be something wrong" ..

So I took out a few keys any see if there's anything stucked. And guess what, I see water stain ...

Huh? cannot see the water stain? Ofcoz ... I've cleaned it ....
By taking out all the keys ...



And let it dry out overnight ....





Plug it in the this morning and Voila ! The keyboard is not working !! What? You still WISH the keyboard will work after soaking in half a glass of water ( should be around 100ml, from the amount of stain in the keyboard ) overnight ? I don't remember seeing and 'Water Resistant' on the box ....

Will be very boring in coming weekend ... Anyone want to have a photo session ? Mostly outdoor if it's not raining ... Since so long I didnt do photography liao and this coming weekend will be a good time for me ..hhmm ...

Been busy these few days trying to catch some worms ( Computer Virus ) in my office's computers. Since my whole office are using Mac, virus shouldn't be an issue to our computer, coz the Macs basically immune to Virus:

And uptill today, my PowerBook ( touchwood ) has never been attaced by any Virus before, also, here you can read more about Virus in a Mac, seriously there's nothing much to read about. hehehhe.

I've telling everyone I know that Mac are free from Virus so please don;t complain to me about Mac hitting a Virus, including my GF and frinds, if they happen to tell me " My Mac kena Virus lah ... " and I will give them a funny face try to tell them I have no time for that kind of joke. I still remember all my customers ( while I am still doing sales ) try to blame everything to virus... :

Cannot connect to internet, Virus ... (ADSL not setup properly )

Cannot receive email, Virus .... (mail server not setup properly)

Cannot print documents, Virus ... (USB Cable not connected)

Cannot Log On to server, Virus ... (Keyined wrong password)

Tummy getting bigger, Virus also ... (Eat too much, I think)

I hope some programmer can come out with a Virus that will 0 the balance in the Bank Account for anyone that use a Windows...HAHAHAH, that will be nice ~. Or maybe transfer all the money to who ever using a Mac, that's better hor ? HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH

Recently my colleague can't send any words files as attachment to anyone on her contact list, after a simple diagnose I found out that her computer have Virus on it. Why 'HAVE' and not 'Infected by' ? Coz the Virus wont/cant do much in a Mac. The Virus are design to work in Windows and whereby the System structure on a Windows and Mac are totally different, so the Virus will be 'Lost' and just sit there do nothing, like you diu 9 a Japanese Guy with Hokkian also he won't give you a damm liddat, something liddat lah. Anyway, the recipients are rejecting the mails because the AnTi-Virus detected Virus carried in the mail, so it automatically reject the mail and return a mail saying " Your mail contain Virus, hence rejected" . Damm, that's uncool...

This is what I've been always thinking about....

A Virus cant be made or generated on a Mac, so all the Virus must be from a PC running Windows Whatevershit Edition.... As Shown here:


Every Windows need AntiVirus because as long as it's connected to the internet, sure kena Virus. While the Mac don't have to worry about AntiVirus, coz immnune
But why are there AntiVirus for Mac? The main and ONLY purpose is to stop or somehow slow down the spread of Virus in the Windows world, they are so sick and vulnerable and pathethic that they don't even noticed it when hit by virus.

Question is:

Why the hell should the Mac users waste money/time/effort on installing AntiVirus to safe the Window user's ass ? Why le? Why cant just let them kena Virus that will delete everything in thier Windows, since they love Windows so much ...

Do you Double Park your car always ? If yes please stop reading from here, proceed to the next entry. Else this post will make you think I offend you.



I am not sure about other area but there's a trend in Sri Hartamas. You can simply park your car anywhere you like no matter blocking the road or other people's car. Dun worry if you want to do so, all you need is just a paper/cupboard/manila card/any form of material that can display your phone number on you window. You can park as long as you want there as long as no one calls you about you blocking others. You may go to yamcha or queue in the bank for hours if no one calls your number, why waste time looking for parking? Just park lah, they don't mind one, got number mah. They will HAVE to call you if they want to leave.



The above pictures was taken on Monday and Tuesday in Sri Hartamas after work, while I was waiting for the idiot to drive away the car. For the first few times, I try to be polite and call the owners to drive away the cars, I thought maybe they are just meters away doing something urgent for a few minutes, but not....


. Coming out from a mamak slowly, slowly wipe the mouth, slowly start the car...

. Coming out from the bank 15mins after I called and give me a cheebye face while talking on the phone

. Coming out slowly from the boutique slowly and still feel like going back in for more cloths, and give me a cheebye face..



Well, if you think it's my fault to nicely call you to move your car that's illegally blocking my way, I will do it my way then. So after all those cheebye face I saw more that what I can take, I never call those owner, I horn 9 them. I want to embarassed them, I want the whole world to see who is the so hai that kena horn 9 9, and pressing on the horn for 10 mins non-stop is not something you can do everyday ~ hohohoh. Sweet. I keep on pressing the horn untill everyone come out from the shoplot and look at what happened. untill some Sin Ga Lan pointing the Phone Numbers on the window but I refused to call, I keep on pressing the horn. Untill the owner come out and show me some cheebye face, and ofcoz I will show him a cheebye face is return, and I really hope that those so hai will come down from the car for a fight, so I can call the police to come over to and see more cheebye face from those so hai ....

It's not the first time actually things like this happen in Sri Hartamas. You can expect your car to be blocked by these kind of idiots atleast 4 times a week, sometimes if you are lucky, you might be blocked by the same car. If you know the place is hard to find parking, then come out earlier lah, if you know that it will take a while for you to settle your stuff, look for a proper parking lah, dont blardy hell block the whole world for your own convenience.

Don't ask me how, when, where, but I just bang my car. Damm . So these few days I will have to rely on Taxi going to work and going home. Well these are what happened when you have a car but don't actually having it.



Yesterday:

I send me car to the workshop to be fixed before going to work, and that's around 8AM when the shop were just opened and apparently I am the first customer. SO after showing the mechanic what's the damange and asked hem what is the price that I need to pay to the repair. Called a cab after everything and waiting for less that 5mins I have a taxi waiting for me infront of the shop, nice... But I am kind of surprise looking at the meter showing RM13.40 and the taxi driver tell me:" Boss RM13.40 + RM2.00 for call cab and RM2 for the toll" . WTF ??!! RM17.40 from Kota Damansara to Mon't Kiara ??? Wah lao... If that's for petrol I can travel 5 round trips from Kota Damansara to Mon't Kiara already !!! Mahai .... Nevermind ...



Then later afternoon finished work, I took a taxi to Kota Damansara again to pick up laundry before going home. I thought It would be easier if the taxi driver is nice enuff to wait for me out side while I go pick up the laundry, and yes, the taxi driver is a nice person. But the laundry is not. When I arrived they told me that my cloths are not ready yet and have to wait for half and hour. So what to do ? Takkan I take the taxi back home and come out again later, right ? So I paid the taxi driver RM13 and thanks him. So I wait ... and wait ... and wait for half and hour untill my cloths ready and called for a cab. 6.30PM.



Operator: Afternoon, what is your address and where are you going?

AhTak : I need a taxi from Palm Spring to BU12. ( and told my phone no and adress )

Operator: Let me check for you and I will call you back IN A SHORT WHILE.



So I wait ... and wait ... looking at those empty taxi passing by at the roadside. I thought I called the station so maybe i should wait for them to return the call. Well I did and waited for 20mins and beh tahan...



Operator: Afternoon, what is your address and where are you going?

AhTak : I called 20mins ago, need a taxi from Palm Spring to BU12.

Operator: Oh really ? I will check for you, please hold .

And that stupid lady hold me on the phone for over 3 mins, I forgive her for not knowing that I call using a mobile that's low batt ....


Operator: Sorry sir, no taxi.

AhTak : Huh ? Can you try to get a taxi for me ? I really need to go home.

Operator: Eehh ... I will try and call you back.



I don't want to be stupid again so I walked accross the road try to stop a taxi by the roadside, and that's another 30mins standing by the roadside with my laptop bag and laundry and in my working suit looking like a sohai. Damm .... Reached home 730PM after paying RM for the taxi. Sekian Terima Kash ... So total up I've spent RM40.40 just for going to work and going home after picking up laundry, MAHAI I really wonder how I can go with Shell for that RM40.40 ...CCB... By the way, I didnt recieve any 'Call you back' from the lady operator untill now ...

The whole building that I am working at is totally NoSmoking, not in the office, not in the toilet ( i still wonder why ), so if you want to smoke and shorten your life, you got to go all the way to the Ground Floor open air area. That's from 8th Floor to Gnd Floor. For a 2min smoke. So, trying to save that 5mins from 8th Floor to Gnd Floor, I try to look for other place that is open air and can have a nice quiet 5mins smoke break. First come to mind is, the staircase. Which I smoked before in my college staircase, shopping complex staircase, and some other staircase and it doesnt seems to be any problem, hehehehe. So I did went to the staircase and find:





Damm ! NO SMOKING HERE ALSO !?!?! As what the board says: It's for escaping from Fire and for the Guards to meronda, not for you smartass to smoke ! Wah lao ... Fine, as they give nice reasons to ban smoking around, I will have to find amother place. So I walk back to the door and found out that it's locked. LOCKED ! LOCKED !! WTF ?!??!?! DAMM !!! So I start to panic abit liao, what should I say if the guard find me here? What if boss look for me in the office but I'm stucked while looking for a smoking place ?!??! Damm .... So I fast fast walk down from floor to floor hoping that I will find a door unlocked. But the security level in this building is so good and I think they are serious about the "NO Smoking in Fire Escape". Mahai og lan lah ... Got back to where I enter and start to think ... think ... think ... Suddently.....

HAHAHAH !!! How Blardy Smart I am ! I so smart to thought of using a card to open the door ! HAHAHHA. Also pissed ler, so scare ~ hahahahah. Felt a great relief after the first fresh air I smell behind the door ~ ooh... Then You know what ? I still go all the way down to Gnd Floor and get a nice stick of Marlboro...

Girl: " Hi, are you the IT Manager ?"

AhTak:" I'm in-charge of IT, can I help you?"

Girl: "Who am I speaking to ?"

Girl: " Hi Mr Wong. I'm Elaine calling from XXX company, regarding ..... meeting/conference something"

AhTak :" Oh, I might be interested to attend, can I have the info thru mail ?"

Girl :" Yes ofcoz, may I have you email ?"



So I guess it was anthother telecommuterdoing thier job ler. So normally I'll just ask them to send everything to my mail and I will direct 'transfer' the mails to my Trash Box...



So, minutes after the call, I got another call ....

Girl: " Hi, are you the IT Manager ?"

AhTak:" I'm in-charge of IT, can I help you?"

Girl: "Who am I speaking to ?"

AhTak: "I'm Wong.."

Girl: " Hi Mr Wong. I'm Elaine calling from XXX company, regarding ..... meeting/conference something"

AhTak: " Uuhh ... do you think I sounds familiar ?"

Girl: " MMmm ... Yah, abit "

AhTak: " You just called me 2 minutes ago, ofcoz I sound familiar.."

Girl: "Oh !! I'm sorry, I must have dial the same number !! I'm Soli ~~~"

AhTak: "It's ok .... just remember to email me the info... "

Girl: "Ok , I will. Sorry .."

Now I am slowly picking up jogging, ateast an excersice to slow down the fattening effect on my tummy and to keep my stamina and health. Sitting all day in the office and do nothing at home make AhTak dull and sleepy all the time, that's not good.


Years ago I can say it out so pround :"Nevermind lah, no matter how I eat also I won't get fat one lah, got sport mah" Which is a fact.
:: Secondary school I play basketball fram 1:30PM till 6PM, then second session around 8PM till 10PM. My studies ? Who cares .... HAHAHAHHAHAHA.
:: Then when I go college with more work and less time, I go swinning. Starting at 500M every evening till 3000M non stop everyday ... And basketball everyweekends.
:: Now. Sitting in the office from 8AM to 530PM everyday and continue sitting/rest at home till I go to sleep ... how sad..



Now that I have the perfect shoes for jogging, I'm doing it everymorning since Monday till this morning I stopped. Why ? Becoz I so long time no sport already and forgotten the importance of Warm Up and Stretching, and I hurt my muscle, damm. Wei, not excuse lah, I really hurt myself mah, old man already sure liddat lah... I promise to continue tomolo morning okay ?

Have you ever encounter those HardCore Sales ? I did, infact I almost became one... that was old story while I am still doing sales...



It was since last week that this sales person from some big company that is trying to push some printer to me/my boss. Which I replied him kindly that my boss will give me reply and by then only I can reply on his quotation over the product. And so, this guy have been bugging me ever since for 1 week non-stop asking me how is the feed back and ofcoz I will give him the same answer that I am also still waiting for answer from my boss. He, may not understand that it's not good to bug anyone about anything too much, do you like being called by those Telemarketers from So-and-So bank everyday and tell you about their promotions ? No right ? So please I beg you on my feet ... STOP BUGGING ME !!!

It was on a lovely Sunday afternoon, planning to get some McD as snack. After ordered at the counter 1 and proceed to counter 2 for the food, saw this SeiSoHai parked the car in from on me blocking the whole road. The SoFai saw me coming and din't give a damm. After we had eye contact, the SoHai just walk down the car slowly like JamesBond, Beep Beep locked the car and go in McD... MCHDNLMLCH !!!!! What's wrong with him ah ???? Lucky there's no car behind so I can GosDan abit and go out ! He should Thank God that I am not driving a Lorry that day, else he'll have to find his car in Ikano Car Park ... MCH !!!

See these guys in some well-Know cafe in Ikano 10mins ago when I am doing smoke break. See, no drinks on the table... Hhmm.. not good right? Sit at people's place and didnt order anything. I think it's ok if just want to sit there a few minutes to wait for someone... But the dudes are doing bussiness talk with lots of papers on the table ler, somemore 4 peoples occupied 2 tables and 6 chairs ... wa lao eh... Got work to do, do it in the office lah ~ If want to use people's place to do work, order drinks lah ~ Don't be so cheapskate.


As a customer ( not even customer, coz they didn't even order anything !), sure will they say:" Wah, so LanC meh, sit also cannot meh ? " or maybe :" MaChauHai, so fucking LanC, I am going to tell the whole world not to come !" ... Don't be surpised, these are typical, based on "Customers Always Right", so what ever they do also right one... Try to switch the position and think, what if you are the owner... you like people doing that in your shop mou ???

Normally you don't see Political/Local News/International issues in AhTak.blogspot.com... And so .. This is the first attempt, hopefully last.

As you all can see from any newspaper today(25/05/06), everyone was writting articles or mostly complains about the Rise in price of Electricity in Malaysia, by 12% and effective starting 1st of June 2006... Most comments/thoughts of Malaysians would be "Wah.....naik lagi kah??, "Aduh....Naik naik naik, semua naik, gaji tak naik.." Which is very true. Few months back the Petrol Price was risen "abit, which probably will be another rise before end of the year, and now the electricity price goes up again. Walau....Really that short of money meh?

According to newspapers...
"Authorities said:

There won't be much affect on normal families, the extra payment per-month will not be more that a pack of cigarette."

If that's true, then wifes/girlfriend would be very happy, 1 more reason to ask the husband/boy-friend to quit smoking. But what about those who don'y smoke ? Kurang makan sikit ah ??? Or maybe throw away the TV and Astro ?... And also from the news they stated that "Malaysia still have the cheapest Electricity in South East Asia", maybe true. But they have forgotten than Malasian also are 1 of the Lowest Salary Paid country ? In Singapore, an office boy may have a higher pay than General Manager/Store Manager in Malaysia ? Some Assistant Manager will have more pay than a CEOs in Malaysia, maybe, coz I didnt do research on that.
